Images From the Barden Ridge Observatory

           GSO RC preliminary test  data

The above image was a quick 20:10:20 minute RGB image taken through the new model GSO 8" Ritchey Chretien.

The focuser was smooth, accurate and robust enough to hold a STL11000 used for this image.

Visually the telescope produces sharp images. The star test showing a mild spherical correction error, no zones or roughness.

The high efficiency di-electric coatings give images that seem brighter than similar aperture SCT's.

Due field curvature, the above image is the cropped 2/3rd's of a full frame (35mm) CCD, the curvature for

APS sized chips (i.e. most DSLR's) would be minimal.
