
The above image of the Sun was captured using a Calcium K line filter
Impressive sunspots can be seen, associated with active regions AR 14294, 14296, and 14298.
An arriving aircraft (below) also transited the Sun during the imaging run.

Note the shockwave crossing then receding back along the solar limb

on the lower right) a few seconds after the jet has flown past.
Likely due higher pressure/density air from a wake vortex.
