The solar eclipse of 2023 presented a rare opportunity to image an extended periphery of the solar chromosphere
due the moon’s angular size being only marginally larger than the Sun’s.

A little "artistic license" was used for this image...The AP155 objective used to take this image had virtually no lens flare
so a Photoshop filter was used to add an eye-pleasing flare to the last vestigates of the photosphere,
as it disappeared behind the Moon.
