The image above was the result of 18 x5 minute frames taken with an AP130GTX and QUAD compressor

All colour calibration was with Pixinsight with particular attention to global colour correction, which gave this dusty galaxy a pleasingly accurate yellow colour balance. The noise floor of the processed data remains stubbornly higher that an equivalent CCD image.

The reason looks to be OSC CMOS sensor having a random dark signal which can be seen below, the animation showing subtle banding which randomly shifts from frame to frame.
